An unforgettable educational field trip to Aninkorah Mini Zoo

Trip on Aninkorah Mini Zoo!
Overview
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, our learners swapped their textbooks for binoculars as Elmwood International School headed to Aninkorah Zoo for an unforgettable educational field trip. It wasn't just a day out; it was a hands-on journey where classroom lessons truly came to life.
Highlights of the Day
The trip was packed with "magical" moments that sparked curiosity and joy:
- Interactive Learning: From petting fluffy rabbits to observing majestic peacocks and mountain cats, students got up close with nature.
- Feeding Time: The absolute crowd-favorites were feeding milk to a baby deer and sharing bananas with the playful monkeys.
- Diverse Wildlife: The tour included encounters with crocodiles, squirrels, hamsters, quails, and various exotic bird breeds.
- Warm Hospitality: A huge thank you to the Aninkorah Zoo staff, whose warm welcome and expert guiding made the day safe and engaging for everyone.
More Than Just Fun
This trip reinforced the power of experiential learning. By seeing and touching animals they had previously only seen in pictures, our students built a genuine emotional connection with the natural world. In fact, many were so fond of their new animal friends that they didn't want to leave!
"The trip was a perfect blend of discovery and fun, leaving our learners with memories (and photos!) that will last a lifetime."
The day proved that some of the best lessons aren't found in a book—they’re found in the wild.
