A Special Mother’s Day at Elmwood International School

There’s something special about seeing a child light up when they get to celebrate their mum. This Mother’s Day at Elmwood International School was all about those little moments, the smiles, the hugs, the matching outfits and the thoughtful gifts made with love.

Our mothers and children came together to celebrate the special bond they share, creating a day that was simple, joyful and full of memories.

Dressed to Match

One of the sweetest parts of the celebration was seeing mothers and their children arrive in matching outfits.

The coordinated looks brought plenty of smiles around the school, and the children were clearly excited to look just like Mum for the day. It was a simple idea, but it made the celebration feel even more personal and special.

Made Especially for Mum

The children also got creative as they designed their own gift cards for their mothers.

With little drawings, colours and personal messages, each card was different. More than anything, it was the thought behind each one that made them special. For the children, it was a chance to create something with their own hands and say, in their own way, “Thank you, Mum.”

Moments Worth Capturing

And, of course, there were plenty of photographs.

Mothers and children took pictures together, capturing their matching outfits, happy faces and the moments they shared throughout the day. Some were posed, others were simply playful and spontaneous but each photograph captured a little piece of the celebration.

Celebrating the Women Behind Our Children

Mother’s Day gave us a chance to pause and appreciate the women who are such an important part of our children's lives.

At Elmwood, we believe that children's learning and development extend beyond the classroom. Celebrations like this bring home and school together and give children an opportunity to express values such as love, gratitude and appreciation.
